Nora van Trotsenburg

As Exhibitions Manager and Curatorial Assistant, Nora helps develop and organize exhibition projects for IA&A's Traveling Exhibition Service. Nora holds an MA in Museum Collections from Leiden University in The Netherlands and a BA in Art History, Visual Art, & Theory from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. Her studies in Canada and Europe, in addition to her international upbringing, have influenced her interest in decolonizing museums to be better places of learning and representation.

Prior to working at IA&A, she managed and led the internal operations and cultural projects at Dupont Underground in Washington, D.C. In Vancouver, she also worked as a Collections Assistant at the Richmond Museum and as a Gallery Attendant at Morris and Helen Belkin Art Gallery.
