Amie Geremia

Amie Geremia has worked in the cultural resources management and museum field for over 27 years. After graduating with a degree in Anthropology from Longwood College in Farmville, Virginia, she worked as a field and lab archaeologist excavating, cataloging, and labeling archaeological collections. Amie received her Master of Arts degree in Public History with concentrations in Museum Studies and Cultural Resources Management at Middle Tennessee State University. While there, she worked as a teaching assistant and with archival and manuscript collections at the university’s Albert Gore Research Center and held internships with the National Park Service at Melrose Mansion in Natchez, MS and the Chesapeake/Allegheny System Support Office in Philadelphia, PA.

From 2000–2021, Amie worked as Head Registrar at Frist Art Museum in Nashville, TN, where she helped to coordinate over 150 exhibitions. Amie relocated to her home state of Virginia in 2021, spending over one year in Exhibitions Planning at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts before joining the dynamic and talented team at IA&A.
