About the J-1 Intern/Trainee Program
IA&A is a U.S. J-1 intern visa and J-1 trainee visa sponsor and issues the Form DS-2019 (Certificate of Eligibility). The J-1 visa is required for internships and training programs in the U.S. of any length, paid or unpaid.

What does IA&A do for you?

  • Issue the Form DS-2019 (Certificate of Eligibility).
  • Assist with the J-1 visa application process.
  • Provide pre-arrival orientation and information.
  • Provide career advice in the arts, culture, and design fields.
  • Offer resume/CV and cover letter counseling.
  • Offer professional networking support for participants and alumni.
  • Assist as needed in case of emergency (24/7 phone and email support).
About Cultural Exchange Programs
Through its Cultural Exchange Programs, IA&A has sponsored J-1 visa participants from over 55 countries worldwide including Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Cuba, Denmark, Egypt, France, Germany, Ghana, Japan, Kenya, Korea, Mexico, Russia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, the United Kingdom, and many more.

IA&A accepts applications for visa sponsorship from candidates in the following fields:

  • Visual and performing arts
  • Arts management
  • Industrial design and interior design
  • Graphic design
  • Architecture
  • Media and communications
  • Marketing
  • Finance and business in the arts, culture, or design fields
  • Performing arts management
