About Cultural Exchange Programs
IA&A believes that international exchanges in the arts help to build cross-cultural understanding and relationships. Cultural Exchange Programs sponsors J-1 exchange visitor visas for international interns, trainees, and scholars working at arts, culture, and design organizations throughout the U.S.

IA&A also promotes cross-cultural understanding through global partnerships in the arts through it’s new International Partnership Initiative.

About the J-1 Program
The purpose of the J-1 Exchange Visitor Program is to provide international visitors with opportunities for cultural exchange in the U.S. while training in a specific career field. The J-1 Program increases mutual understanding between the people of the U.S. and the people of other countries through educational and cultural exchanges.

IA&A sponsors J-1 visas in the following categories: Intern (students and recent students), Trainee (experienced professionals), and Scholar (curators, artists, researchers, educators, and lecturers). Each type of J-1 visa is limited to a certain number of months.
