Gelila Kassa
Gelila Kassa is the Gallery and Program Coordinator at IA&A at Hillyer, facilitating the execution of the gallery's exhibitions, public programming, and digital engagement initiatives. Prior to this, she was the Gallery Assistant and Art Night Coordinator at Washington Project for the Arts (WPA), managing the annual fall benefit exhibition and serving as the point of contact for collaborating artists. She has also independently assisted several DC-based artists and curators with their projects across the DMV area.
Gelila earned her BA in Psychology and Studio Art with a concentration in Africana Studies from Williams College. As an undergraduate, she interned at both the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art (MASS MoCA) and the Williams College Museum of Art (WCMA) under their Art Fabrication and Exhibitions departments, respectively.
