Traveling Exhibition Prospectus

We built a prospectus template to showcase the individuality and diversity of each exhibition that is toured by International Arts & Artists (IA&A). Using the organization's branding as the template's framework, we created a design that is as dynamic as the exhibitions featured.

IA&A’s Traveling Exhibition Service develops and circulates visual arts exhibitions designed for both large and small museums and other cultural institutions in the US and abroad. To date, they have developed over 110 unique exhibitions.

ironmale

IA&A's Design Studio developed a brand strategy and visual identity for Ironmale, an initiative spawned through a collaboration with the MIT Museum and MIT Alum Nima Veiseh to raise awareness for young women who want to become scientists and work in STEM professions.

Nima's own mother, Sholeh, is the original inspiration for Ironmale, and is the reason why Nima says they learned science in their home from the earliest age.  Today, young women across the country are turning to STEM professions in record numbers, but the requirements for college applicants who aspire to top universities have never been more rigorous, with expensive summer camps and extracurricular opportunities now being the norm for any competitive college application. Ironmale helps fund those opportunities.

Dress Abstract

Dress Abstract clothing line

IA&A's Design Studio teamed up with Washington, DC artist Nima Veiseh to develop a brand strategy and visual identity for Dress Abstract, a sustainable clothing line.

Nima Veiseh started Dress Abstract in 2014 to show that luxury clothing can be both mindful and magnificent.  Growing up in the midwest on the shores of Lake Michigan, Nima saw manufacturing jobs leave his home town as America struggled to sustain its manufacturing sector.  After a decade of training as a designer, artist, and engineer, Nima founded Dress Abstract in 2014 on the principle idea that high-fashion must be sustainable not just in its style, but in every aspect of life.   All of the products are made in America, with sustainable fabrics that are identical to rich silks but use 70% less fresh water to make, preserving the environment and the Great Lakes he grew up on. With each purchase, you are supporting hard working artists, American jobs, and our expert refugee tailors who come from every part of the world to pursue the American Dream.

Nima believes that every person has two sides, like the canvas of a painting, and it is important to create masterpieces that empower our clients to express their full authentic selves.  He is a PhD researcher who has trained at George Washington University, Georgetown University, Columbia University, the Arts League of New York, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

This exhibition aims to reveal a deeper understanding of people’s lives throughout history and to allow contemporary artists to express their interpretations on topics of the cosmos, nature, current culture, and world heritage. Using the Nebra Sky Disc as a reference point—an artifact found near Pömmelte depicting a Bronze Age creator’s vision of the cosmos—the selected artworks are no larger than the Disc’s diameter of 12.6 inches. These archeological discoveries are evocative touchstones that invite contemplation of enduring questions about our history and place in the world. Can reflecting upon the past help broaden our understanding of ourselves and our relationship to one another? Can rethinking how we study and understand the past give us insight into navigating the future? These are some of the questions examined by 15 Washington, DC, artists along with 8 German artists, bringing global perspectives to shared human experiences.

We also designed a postcard, brochure, exhibition graphics and promotional material to supplement the exhibition.
