Michael Mazur, Ladder, 1973
engraving and aquatint
41 x 24 in

Michael Mazur was born in New York City in 1935. He attended the Horace Mann School in New York and Amherst College before completing a B.F.A. in 1959 and an M.F.A. in 1961 at the School of Art Yale University. He has exhibited widely throughout the United States and Korea and is included in several corporate collections. His graceful work encompasses folding screens, monotypes, pastel drawings, and other works on paper. His painterly technique perfectly complements his images, which are often of plants and trees, or of tools.
