In 2008, the U.S.-Iran Exchange Program (previously ArtBridge, or pol-e honari in Persian) established relationships and networking opportunities between American and Iranian visual artists and arts professionals. The principal focus of U.S.-Iran Exchange Program was for participants to explore and contribute to the role of the arts in local communities in the U.S. and Iran.

This program consisted of a group of six photographers from Iran, who toured art institutions for a period of 22 days in New York, NY, Washington, DC, and Charleston, SC. The U.S.-Iran Exchange Program was coordinated by IA&A’s staff from November 14 to December 5, 2008.
