Program in China

Applicants

Application Materials:

  • Copy of University Transcript
  • Up-to-date Resume
  • One Signed Recommendation (from previous employer or
    university professor)
  • Statement explaining interests and capabilities for The
    Program.

Internship Grading:     

70% of grading is determined by internship supervisor (based on performance and attendance) and 30% by The Program staff (based on participation in internship seminar & internship term paper).

Course Grading:                      

Course grading is determined by the Professor (based on course work requirements – readings, exams, term paper, class participation and attendance).

Requirements for Completion of The Program

  • Above-satisfactory performance and excellent attendance at internship and at internship seminar
  • Completion of readings of at least 2-3 books on business and society in China
  • Completion and presentation of an internship term paper of at least 10 pages (the paper should be an analysis of the entity at which the intern worked, insight on the sector in which the intern and the entity operated in, and explanation of the knowledge learned and the benefits of the internship experience)
  • Above-satisfactory participation in study visits and excursions.

Apply online at www.usartstraining.org/app.php . Anna Smith will email you to accept or deny your online application and instruct you as how to proceed, once your full application is accepted.

Program Fees:

Fees are nonrefundable.
Application Fee is always $70.  (payable upon acceptance of online application)
Summer Participation Fee is $3430.  (payable upon acceptance to Program.)
Fall or Spring Participation Fee is $4930. (payable upon acceptance to Program.)


Note: Fees DO include housing, courses, internship and in-country travel but do NOT include meals or airfare.

Visa, Insurance and Airfare

Program Candidate is responsible for applying for the necessary visa, buying relevant insurance, and scheduling air travel. Orientation in Beijing and Shanghai is upon arrival.
