What is ArtBridge?

ArtBridge (pol-e honari, in Persian) was launched and is supported by International Arts & Artists (IA&A). The ArtBridge program will be coordinated by IA&A’s USArts staff, a designated J1 visa program that has been successfully managing international exchange and training programs for the past six years, with over 450 trainees from more than 30 nations participating in the program since its inception.

The ArtBridge program is aimed at establishing relationships and networking opportunities between American and Iranian visual artists and arts professionals. The principal focus of ArtBridge is for participants to explore and contribute to the role of the arts in local communities in the U.S. and Iran. This program will consist of four exchange groups: two groups of six artists and one group of Visual Arts Managers from Iran to the U.S., and one group of five Visual Arts Managers from the U.S. to Iran. The groups of Iranian visitors will include photographers, painters and Visual Arts Managers who will tour art institutions for a period of 22 days in New York, NY; Washington, D.C.; and Charleston, SC. The group of Americans visiting Iran will be chosen among artists and Visual Arts Managers interested in promoting cultural and arts exchanges internationally.
